Donna G's Story
I always wanted to be a artist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were right. Not because I didn't have the talent, I had won a scholorship, unfortunately, for the same reason I finished my Senior Year at Franklin I could not accept it...at sixteen, two months before that last year of High School (while up for a two week vacation to visit my father and younger brother), I was run over by a car and couldn't hold a brush, make a proper stroke, paint a face or for that matter, a proper flower or landscape. ng what happens to us in our youth that affect the entirety of our lives.
Since then, while my life has had many ups and downs, it just seems to me that I simply fell into things without proper direction or thought. However, it has also been a rich and full life. I have a beautiful daughter, three wonderful grandchildren and family and friends that love me.
I never meant to spend my life in Stockton, however; for any number of reasons, I have been pulled back here for more than half of it. Guess this time, I'll stay.
